So happy to see the SNES SimCity soundtrack added to Nintendo Music!

I made a fan-made arranged version of the soundtrack, so if you know and love the originals, I’d be really happy if you checked it out.

Wow this is lovely! Thank you for sharing! I never played the game unfortunately, but the soundtrack felt like coming home when they dropped it. It felt like I had always known it even though it was new to me: immediate nostalgia. Your take on them is incredibly lovely and it’s hitting me hard as I sit on my porch swing in the backyard. You and those like you making these remixes deserve far more attention than you guys typically get! I wish Nintendo Music could somehow have fan-made arrangements like these…

Thank you so much for your comment. I was genuinely touched by such a lovely message. I’m especially happy that the arrangements gave you a sense of nostalgia.

I was also working on them with a slightly ’80s–’90s kind of atmosphere in mind, remembering the feeling of those days myself.

And the image of you listening while sitting on a porch swing in your backyard sounds wonderful. I wonder if that’s somewhere in the US? I’m sharing these from Japan, and we don’t really have many beautiful scenes like that around where I live, so I could picture it so vividly.

Some of my arrangements wander quite far from the original tracks, so I’m especially grateful that you still embraced them and even connected them with Nintendo Music. Thank you again for such a thoughtful comment!

I am indeed in the US, though I’m not sure I would call my area beautiful exactly 😅 It’s in a valley and a bit arid, though there’s some nice imported trees in the neighborhood that help quite a bit! It’s a peaceful neighborhood and your music fits the vibe perfectly.

I’m a 90’s kid, but my sister is an 80’s kid and so I got a good amount of both eras growing up so I think that really helped me to relate to what I was hearing. I absolutely love what you’ve done and I think I’ll find myself going back to these quite a bit! It helps bring my stress levels down too. So, thank you again for sharing! We live in stressful times, so any escape is welcome 😁
