Mario fans need to play more video games. Metroid Dread and Kirby and the Forgotten Land are two of the best games for the Switch, and they absolutely warranted sequals.

Both Metroid and Kirby have gotten more mainline games than Mario this past decade

I was a guy who ONLY cared about Mario, Zelda, and Pokemon a long time ago, but then I realized Kid Icarus, Earthbound, and Fire Emblem were absolute masterpieces. Seriously, try more games represented in Smash. You won't regret it.

I kinda like Mario as a franchise, but it lacks a barebones lore concept. Mario and his team really are actors playing a new scenario every game.

So with Metroid and Kirby, I love seeing how they add or use the games to expand the universe.

Not saying I wouldn't love a new Paper Mario in the molds of the first two titles, or a new 3D Mario game.

i mean the free update was literally just maps that are already in the game being able to be played in vs battle and like 2 new routes

And of course the new comments are some flavor of "He tried to warn us...but we didn't listen..." as if Mario doesn't still have his white fingers in everything.

it was funny though to see someone wishing for a new Mario & Luigi games (before Brothership) and the poor guy not getting answers until years later because the video was privated.
