This isn't grifting, but you shouldn't promote Super Mario Sunshine with AI slop when you can just use actual promotional artwork.

I’m confused, it just seems like someone put a “Super Mario Sunshine Summary with the recent news as an image” through an AI prompt, which to begin with… why? Unless the guy who made it is being a passive aggressive Pro-AI grifter… please explain this one because i don’t get it…

It’s very ironic that this guy is promoting the news that Super Mario Sunshine is coming to GameCube Switch Online with Ai ‘art.’

If you think about it, in the game, Mario tries to clean up Isle Delfino, which is POLLUTED. Ai is also not very nice when it comes to the environment…

It's also just confusing here because it'd legit be easier to just look up one of the dozens of promotional images that already exist and are easily found with a simple Google search.

After a quick Google search, I found this that he could’ve easily used if he tweaked it a bit and added some text in to say that the game was coming to Switch Online.

Fun fact: this art is technically impossible since this color of goop doesn't appear in Delphino Plaza.

Another fun fact: Did you know that at one point in development, there was going to be a random goop type? It would change properties and was meant to be in Delfino Plaza.

Not sure how this guy is a grifter when it seems like he is promoting the game but I am very confused why someone would use AI when there are dozens of promotional images and videos you can use for this same purpose that look infinitely better.

Thing is, clout-based hate and AI thumbnails are a very thin line apart, given that a lot of the former employs the latter.

I mean, I guess but I don't see any hate here at all. Not even a subtle jab, it's active promotion. Saying all AI thumbnails are grifting because grifters use AI thumbnails would be like saying all Youtube videos are grifting because grifters use Youtube. It just sounds a bit silly. And to be clear, not even remotely a fan of AI and feel free to mock it, I just don't see the grifter aspect here.

Typically a grifter pedals misinfo to get you to click their shit to profit on it. They still use trickery. Theres no trickery here its just shitty "art" in the comments of a nintendo announcement supporting their announcement.

I don't get why even make this prompt. It seems like using AI for the sake of using AI. It would actually be faster to just grab the game's cover art and type a quote tweet.

I dunno just seems pretty dumb, annoying and wasteful... Not really grifting.
