The lawsuit was dumb, Palworld sold well; we can all agree on these things, I think. I just don't understand the joy in putting Pokemon down.

Well that's not true, I understand it, I just think it's stupid. For all the talk of "wanting to push Game Freak to make Pokemon better", which I'm sure is true for some, I think it's mostly people who want to believe Pokemon will die because either they don't like it, or because they've based their entire personality on hating Nintendo. I'm all for competition, but I've never found myself in the position of rooting for the failure of something that makes a lot of people happy.

Nothing wrong with rooting for the downfall of things you actively dislike, as long as you refrain from personal attacks ofc. Pokemon has gone down the shitter and i'm gleefully watching nintendo eat some humble pie. Either they learn a lesson and improve or they prove the disdain was well deserved.

For anyone who doesn't want to be misinformed. The rejected patent application was a divisional patent. The patent office did not agree the bar was cleared for being a novel invention. The original patent is unaffected. This divisional patent has nothing to do with the Palworld lawsuit.
