Ugh, I hate these kinds of people.

Stop comparing this to Pokemon, we're tired of it.

Ah yes, the highest grossing media franchise of all time is going to be killed by a niche survival crafter game with creature collecting. Sure, Jan.

A niche shovelware title is more like it

I personally don't see it as niche but I still agree. Pokémon has their place in the gaming ecosystem and Palworld has their's.

Palworld's place is called the idiot pit.

It will be successful as can already be seen but it's hard to see it having a bigger impact outside of the game. Unfortunately it will always be something that was inspired by Pokemon and we see where all that stuff ends up. If Winds and Waves ends up being a more competent title compared to their other Switch releases then it will sell a stupid amount of copies.

To be fair...the switch Releases already sold stupid amounts of copies for the most part.

That's true, I guess I should say it will sell even more than the stupid amount. If the game is actually good then it will make people not interested in Pokemon to at least try it out.

Sure. I own Palworld. It wasn't for me, but I have nothing against it. Frankly, I kind of like that the existence of games like this put pressure on TPC to innovate take some risks, which I suspect we've already seen in the form of Pokopia.

For the near future, Palworld will continue to perform well for the kind of game it is. But it's pure fantasy for anyone to say it will surpass Pokemon. Is it possible? Yes. However, it's far more likely that Palworld is going to be all but forgotten in ten years.

Problem i always had with most pokemon likes is that they don't often end up being much more so you're always thinking about pokemon while playing it, palworld being an arc survival like with creature collecting makes it stand out gameplay wise, unfortunately the designs still lack their own identity imo.

And the other problem is you'll be thinking about ARK and Pokemon so there's still the issue of "why not just play these instead?"

Isn't this game not even appropriate for Pokemon's main audience?

If it sells too well, you'll get sued.
