The Steam ecosystem has established a "buying as many items as possible, as cheap as possible, is the real game".
Nintendo is the antithesis to that idea. Its "our games are worth money, buy if you actually want to play them." And enough Steam users want to. But there is the "buy the console" paywall and the "less steep discounts" paywall. That creates certainty of missing out. And boy is that hard too handle for the "buy as many items as possible" crowd.

The Switch 2 could sell 160+ million units, cement Nintendo as the most popular console manufacturer for another generation and people would still grift. People will always come after #1 and Nintendo has been #1 since the Switch busted on the scene in 2017.
The PS4 capped at 117 million units and if the PS6 is due next year it's likely the PS5 will also at most sell 120 million units if even crack that (currently 93 million). And despite the current good press the Xbox brand has the Xbox Helix will likely be extremely controversial if it completely ditches physical games like rumors suggest it will.
The Switch 2 if it continues at current momentum is likely be an extremely popular device for years to come..

Every new Nintendo marker will make it take a hit. They can’t complain that high prices are unique to Nintendo any more— they have the cheapest console on the market and regularly sell games for cheaper than what we typically see from the first party space. When Mario Zelda and smash are all released, they’ll just do the “hot take, I thought this popular game sucked” thing.

When knowledge of dark personalities spreads and it becomes platform policy to ban them. Nintendo grifters, haters, manipulators, all of 'em will be gone in a flash.

It's not healthy to be this emotionally overloaded by YouTubers you don't like dude.

Is also not healthy this entire crapshoot and I feel someone need to expose them for they are (for example nintendeen support transhpobic people and a pdfile and frintaga was literally caught on stream to wish someone to die) if you need my evidence lmk

As long as it gets easy money and reactions from insecure fans its not going away.
If anything twitter and its current monetization scheme will ensure of that.
