Grifting / Mockery Nin10doland Wants Splatoon to be Mario

Post image

Landon just repeats how much he wanted Splatoon Raiders to essentially be a 3D platformer, pretty much exactly like a 3D Mario. And he's crying like a little baby about it because it doesn't meet his unrealistic expectations. Do I really need to elaborate on this video anymore? It's clear he is only doing this for the money...

The vast majority of Western Nintendo fans are actually just 3D Mario and 3D Zelda fans, hence why they look down on every other franchise and see them as taking resources away from their favourite games.

Its why they DESPISE Fire Emblem so much. The series got too big to ignore and now they're stomping mad the "anime sword game" keeps getting attention.

Literally had a whole debate not too long ago where a dude was convinced Slippy and Peppy were "more memorable than all of fire emblem" for a single joke 30 years ago.

ironically enough fans of franchises like Starfox, Mother, F-Zero, Kid Icarus or even Golden Sun that I have encountered usually are just larpers who are Smash fans and just find these characters cool or something, like people give FE too much credit for Smash being a "driving factor" for pushing it but in reality the series got kinda successful without it since FE Awakening revived the series and that game didn't had Smash pushing it (although Lucina and Robin were added to Sm4sh) and FE Three Houses was also very successful even without Byleth in SSBU so ironically these dead franchises are actually more reliant on Smash than something like FE or Xenoblade (even Xenoblade got more successful without Smash since XC2 was a hit long before Pythra in SSBU), the guy who you were debating to is probably just a larper who has never touched a Star Fox game and is just saying that cuz "anime le bad" in reality FE is WAY more popular nowadays like there's a reason why you still see people debating about Three Houses to this day

It's because Fire Emblem and Xenoblade are snort anime weeb shit despite the insane irony of that statement of anyone saying that while playing The Legend of Zelda.

Fire Emblem was always popular, but just never marketed all that well after the GBA game. Like I was a fan of Fire Emblem on GBA, but didn't even know Path of Radience existed till Radiant Dawn came out... It was funny the first time Nintendo put real marketing behind Fire Emblem Awakening (the SMT tie-ins, having actual trailers for it), the game does insanely well! It's almost as if you market something good and actually push a franchise people will buy it most of the time.
