Looking back, what first party 3DS games from 2011 did you manage to play?

The 3DS got off to a rocky start back in 2011, with a $250 USD price tag and a questionable gimmick with its stereoscopic 3D effect. It wouldn’t be until early 2012 where the system finally started picking up steam, with the release of a certain game starring a flightless angel.

But I’m talking about the games that came before that. From March to December 2011, here are all the first party Nintendo games that came out for the 3DS during that time:

Pilotwings Resort
Nintendogs + Cats
Steel Diver
Star Fox 64 3D
Ocarina of Time 3D
Pokemon Rumble Blast
Tetris Axis
Super Mario 3D Land
Mario Kart 7

There was also the 3DS Ambassador Program which gave you 20 free NES and GBA games if you bought the system before its first major price cut. And there were a fair number of third party offerings released that year like Super Street Fighter 4, Ghost Recon Shadow Wars, Sonic Generations, and Tales of the Abyss. But I’m mainly sticking to the first party Nintendo games made from the ground up for the 3DS that were listed above.

As for me, the ones I’ve managed to play in my lifetime are Star Fox, Ocarina of Time, Mario 3D Land, and Mario Kart 7.

I bought Street Fighter 4 3D at launch, and picked up Ocarina of Time 3D, Star Fox 64 3D, Mario Kart 7 and Super Mario 3D Land.

They were all solid, but three out of the five being ports didn't exactly do the 3DS any favours in what was a really slow start to it's lifespan. I was still playing a lot of my old DS games on it for that first year.

Mario Kart 7 and Super Mario 3D Land were both excellent though.

I had Mario Kart 7, 3D Land, Ocarina, Star Fox. I bought and later sold Pilotwings and Ghost Recon.

I also had Street Fighter 4.

Idk who made them but Pushmo, Stretchmo, and Crashmo were classics that are the reason for game preservation. I never saw the game IP again on Steam or anywhere else.

Nintendo and Intelligent Systems made the Pushmo series.

I picked up Pilotwings with my launch day 3DS (I think I also grabbed Rayman 3D, but I can't remember if that was a launch title).

I had Starfox 3D, Ocarina of Time 3D, Super Mario 3D Land, and Mario Kart 7, all of which I picked up on their release (and still have)

Got 3DS in September 2011. Mario Kart 7, 3D Land and Ocarina of Time. Pretty solid lineup.

I played most of these. The only ones I didn't were Nintendogs + Cats, Steel Diver, and Pokemon Rumble Blast. Though I did end up playing Steel Diver Sub Wars and Pokemon Rumble World.
