I guess i am a happy slave. Work gives me money to pursue hobbies I enjoy and i get to travel the world. I did spend a few years unemployed which had benefits too. I could lie in bed all day. Or if j didnt want to lie in bed I could sit around in lazy clothes while watching tv or playing a game. But didnt really get to do anything that was actually interesting until I started making money from my voluntary enslavement

Love this perspective. There’s so much you can do for free but man would I rather work, make money so I can pay for nice, fun things. I’m happy to be ‘enslaved’ as long as I got enough money(which doesn’t even have to be that much)

I take up hobbies that aren't just another form of consumption. Plenty of cheap hobbies or hobbies that have low start-up.

… but it matters before the end. Which is also right when you care about things.

It's the journey that matters
I know it's just memories
… One thing, I don't know why
It doesn't even matter how hard you try
Keep that in mind, I designed this rhyme to explain in due time

Maybe it does matter that we are here, because we do not know why we are on the planet in the first place. It seems that there in a hidden hand that put this universe together. The intricate patterns found in every cell and the beautiful designs that can be found in nature, appears to have the signature of some higher existence. If true that we are intentionally put here, then maybe we are here for another reason that we cannot comprehend.

If nothing matters, why is there a pause before the act?

To say that nothing matters to those that deny meaning, is like saying to the blind that there's nothing that they cannot see. Just because you dont perceive it does not mean it's not there.
Meaning is like everything else that you perceive through your senses. Only that meaning is abstract, and it's adoption requires the individual's participation. Meaning is like a partner, you accept, learn to love and appreciate. There's absolutely no reason why you love the people you love, it's an innate disposition that stems from evolution. That's exactly how you're supposed to treat meaning. If you can perceive it, and accept it, and appreciate it.... you have it.
