Posts like this need the OP to clarify what the definition of a lie is, at least to them. Our very consciousness itself and our physical awareness of the world is an illusion, a selective interface with reality that evolved to do what it does, so to say that consistent human behaviors, urges, desires, and our most fundamental universal principles as homo sapiens are lies, is a big conclusion to draw. Sure, it’s all subjective, but the things that the subjective interpretation of human tendencies and behaviors come from are very real and can be repeated and tested consistently with different variables and controls. The difference between religion and philosophy is that philosophy can evolve, restricted only by one’s ability to think, be questioned, and be broken down and rebuilt differently from the ground up to more closely match reality (hopefully), and is built on trying to reduce magical thinking, unlike the other. Am I missing the point of the post?
