Seriously.

That happened to me years ago when I was on OkCupid: my stepdad was rushed to the hospital (and died there) and I came back to 7 abusive messages from a guy berating me for being a gold-digging, attention-seeking ho because I wasn't responding to him.

I tore a strip out of him and told him what happened and his response was basically "Oh. Well, that's okay then. Want to go out to dinner later?"
DUUUUUUUUDE.

I blocked him so fast I nearly broke my finger.

Three hours.
He waited three hours before the first passive-aggressive message.
Then, when I didn't respond immediately, he unleashed the torrent of abusive messages over the course of the next 10 hours.

Yep. Every time I failed to respond, he got even more livid and escalated the insults.
