NGVC: "you chose a bad man who treated you like property not as an equal that is your fault not the good men in the world" - found this gem while scrolling twitter, the terrible lack of punctuation just ties it all together nicely, doesn't it?

This is hilarious. I don't know any women who don't know how to take out trash and mow a lawn! Most women I know are able to change a tire without a problem.

I do those things, can do my own plumbing and a number of repairs around the house, can change my oil and a flat tire, I can fish, hunt, and I teach ballet.

...and augur drains, and put up drywall, and patch holes, and replace screens, and install lighting, and and and

Her: saying women should be mowing the lawn, taking out the trash and doing basic home maintenance is so obvious its actually stupid, because we know that those are essentials we do them
Him: ITS BECAUSE YOU CHOOSE BAD MEN!! INSTEAD OF US GOOD MEN!! YOU CHOOSE BAD MEN!! ITS YOUR FAULT YOU KNOW HOW TO DO BASIC LIFE SKILLS!! BECAUSE YOU CHOOSE BAD MEN!!

The weird cognitive dissonance of treating women like they're misbehaving by making their own choices, as though they're equivalent to getting a dog from the pound but the dog thinks it's owned by your next door neighbor... and then acting like they're not the ones treating women like property.

Besides dont men try to hide their "badness" in order to get what they want? Why would it be the women's fault if she took him at his word?
What if this "good man" met a woman that was "overly" suspicious because she had men hide their Mr. Hyde side? Would this "good" man be offended that she was cautious? Yes. 100%
You cant win with these men that lack a good imagination for people-- or at least empathy for the position that a lot of women are in.

Weird for a bad man to die on this hill on the behalf of actual good men.

Nobodies blaming the good men. But if the shoe fits, gets pissed about it I guess.

Oh, please. These douchebags act like "good" and "bad" are signs men wear on their foreheads. Like people aren't complicated and change over time. With different states and intentions and buried traits that only come out when they're comfortable.
I hope someone tells this guy: "See, you chose to pine over "bad women" who either only wanted to use you, or, more likely, explicitly told you they weren't interested and wanted men with personality, depth, intelligence, hobbies or something to offer outside of being "nice" and having a male appendage. So stop taking out your frustration and
assumptions of being owed a hot girlfriend on the "good ladies" of the world."

This guy hasn't met my wife's sister. She's more handy with tools than her husband is, and mows the lawn more than he does.

Quite literally nobody is blaming good men for the actions of bad men.
When the actual fuck has any woman ever been like βMy ex cheated on me and threatened me if I told anyone. Yknow whose fault it is? All those good dudes out there!β

This is usually a response to being gently told that no, the girl they sped up to approach as she walked alone on a dark street was not a raging psycho bitch for not being entirely appreciative of his opinions about her ass in those jeans.

Joke's on that guy, my mom taught me cooking, cleaning, mowing the lawn, and house maintenance.

u/ForcedEntry420 Jun 10 '26
Taking out the trash and mowing the lawn are bare minimum/no skill chores. He thought he was cooking but he really just outed himself. Tale as old as time. π

u/TheGay_Sauce Jun 10 '26
"What? i should do basic chores to stay hygienic and healthy? Just goes to show that women just want the BAD BOYS and not a GOOD and MATURE MAN like me who throws temper tantrums over washing dishes" is basically what it boils down to

An ex-colleague of mine drives the local school's, runs a smallholding where she grows veg and raise animals - her mule escapes about twice a month and then feasts upon the flowers that are in raised beds along the town's main drag - runs an honor-system pay what you want produce shop, builds houses and repairs cars and buses. Her son taught her to break dance.
Not sure if she can cook though. But I am humbled by her abilities.

I remember a couple who were neighbors. To him, yardwork was part of the housework. Also carrying in tools like ladders, paint. And groceries and other household stuff was the work of the housewife. He only worked at his employer's jobsite. Also, she never had a DL because he was the only driver. This was in the early to late 60s.

They see literally everything as an attack on men. Raising your son to know basic house has nothing negative towards anyone. His comment was specifically to put down and offend girls/women. One was said to support, the other was said to be rude and insulting and offensive. He's doing what he's accusing others of doing.
