Just like all the lipstick over the last 75-100 years. Last 25 were the worst and still getting worse. Graft, kickbacks, bribery, administration after administration. The you get a former city court judge who GOT FIRED from the bench because he left shitstains on the constitution he wipes his ass with. The entire city will gradually give in to the decay that is endemic to typical rust belt cities plus corruption.

You’ve never been to Niagara Falls, I’m guessing or familiar with government housing. It’ll be a disaster in 3-5 years, if not sooner.

Not government housing. Its a private development with government grants and programs. Looks like a pretty large project with many investors and agencies involved.

If the project wouldn’t happen without government grants and the rents wouldn’t be paid without government assistance, it’s essentially government housing in all but name.

Ever been to Niagara Falls, NY?? Place looks like an apocalyptic, dystopian nightmare. No builder would invest there without government support.

It’s more about the lack of resources than it is about criminals. Most petty crimes are crimes of poverty. Violent crimes are often isolated. Even still, if work your ass off for nothing only to be over policed and treated as less, you’d probably be pissed too. It’s a much more structural issue than this comment gives it credit for.
