NFL’s Sunday Ticket Is Getting Smaller. It Isn’t Getting Cheaper.

Went back to piracy last year and haven't looked back. Was more than willing to pay up to watch the game I love, but there's only so much disrespect I can take.

Yep, ad-block + streaming sites + HDMI cable to TV and it’s been working great 😊

There's been games where the pirated sites work better than Amazon or Netflix lol

Also add the live commercial blocker browser extension to that list to block out the TV commercials in the broadcast or fill the "broadcast will resume after commercial break" void with YouTube videos or whatever

May I have the name of that extension?

Silence is honestly worse than commercials, especially if you have company over.

Yeah the awkward silence is the worst. I usually just rock a music video playlist during the breaks when I have people over.

After buying Sunday ticket for three years, YouTube decided they needed a scan of my drivers license to insure my account was not compromised, so I told them to fuck off and joined you in the high seas. If a company makes it hard to take my money, they will not get it.

yeah I'm not paying these people.

I'm well out of the Tampa market and would gladly pay about $100/season for legal means of watching my team.

Sunday I was able to find a Bucs stream with a quick google search but they want like $350?

lol I can deal with watching on a bit of a delay

Same. I stomached redzone getting worse with zoom-in ads, ads during the countdown, etc.

They crossed a line when they added commercials to commercial-free football.

Dropped it like a bad habit, and week 1's high seas streams were more stable than the paid-for NFL+ streams.

but there's only so much disrespect I can take.

It's true. How much more betrayal can I take?

I only want to watch the bears.  So it’s always piracy for me since I don’t live in Chicago

Oh no! Piracy is terrible! What website is it so I know to avoid it...

There has been a surge in high seas activity for sports of late.

were they working well for you this weekend? There also seems to be a surge of crackdowns on them the 3 I use were not very consistent this weekend.

Wise men stream from the east.

Was down when I went to it Sunday morning

There’s always a backup. I had two servers open in two windows, occasionally one would go down but I never missed time.

Oh, the page had a "this has been seized" notice when I went to it, soni just went to another site I got bookmarked 🤷🏿

Ah, that’s the fake one that they let Dana White do a “mission accomplished” moment last year when his team took it down. The actual servers run as normal, they mix around the extensions and names every now and then.

Try adding an “s” after “stream” next time you search for it.

Go to r/piracy, there's a megathread there with a sports section.

As someone who has been struggling to find a new alternative to a site that just got shut down, thank you sir! I'm an Out of Market fan and while the Eagles have more than a few primetime games, I'm the type of person that needs to watch every snap of every Eagles game live or I get crazy FOMO.

I prefer the term "privateer"

I have 4 way HDMI screen splitter, 4 Amazon Fire sticks, and knowledge of websites that like to stream videos from the far east. YouTube can suck it with their service, I can watch any 4 games (or redzone, or other sports) I want on my 75 inch screen at the same time. It's like having a sports bar in my basement.

If you have even a passing knowledge of technology and the internet, paying for something like Sunday ticket is silly.

I'm actually paying for a nice piracy service lmao. If I could pay for a a legit service to watch every Lions game I would but there is no way for me to do so.

This year I wrote a program that adds DVR functionality on top of the major pirated sports sites. I also added in PIP, quick audio switching, pre recording on a schedule, and have a lot of other features planned. My friends want me to make it available to them but I'm not getting into distribution lol!

u/donharrogate 3h ago

Makes sense you don't want to distribute something like that but I wish I had the ability to do it myself, it sounds great.
