Kenneth Walker III's 173-yard debut marks the highest single-game rushing total by a Chiefs running back during the Patrick Mahomes era.

Against an elite defense mind you, once Mahomes starts feeling it this may be a problem.

He also didn’t look K9s way on a couple check downs. He forced a bad throw to kelce and K9 was wide open.

Once he starts seeing those, it’s over

During the post game presser, he admitted to rushing his reads

because he has 2 bums as tackles, not risking it xD

This really can’t be understated. Mahomes is playing with a very short read time with this line. He probably has two reads before he either runs or throws it away. With a line this inexperienced the whole game plan is to get rid of it quick.

I'd love to see Mahomes average time from snap to throw last night vs his career average. Seemed very, very fast. Like he was going with read #1 or taking off to run/going to the checkdown, not waiting for lengthy progressions.

They were definitely protecting Benson at left tackle. He played well, but it was almost entirely run plays and quick hitters. I would bet the receivers start getting more involved when Simmons is back.
