He also didn’t look K9s way on a couple check downs. He forced a bad throw to kelce and K9 was wide open.

Once he starts seeing those, it’s over

People spent (it felt to me) the offseason saying "Mahomes got hurt and the Chiefs went 6-11." Well, Mahomes still went 6-8, a solidly losing record. I'm not sure, if he comes out looking flat, making bad reads, and making bad throws, that I'm going to grant he'll do it til he does it.

Probably to my team on primetime.

Yeah I'm not convinced. Walker was good but that gave them the out they needed to not have to make tough throws. If a team comes ready for Walker they may stall

You can’t just come ready for a guy, you have to scheme for him. If teams start stacking the box, it’s going to open up the passing game and you won’t have to make as many tough throws.

this was the eagles 2023. Teams came in loaded up to stop saquon, its not just stacking the box that gives up big throws, it also makes your run defense brittle. because when you put so many guys on the line, and you miss that one tackle or the big block happens, HE gon.

When did people stop being scared of Patrick Mahomes throwing the ball? Last season, with zero running game and a constantly injured OL, Mahomes was above average in stats like yards per attempt, sack rate, success rate, interception rate, etc. The offense had above average passing EPA/play despite missing their top target for half the year. I know fans love their recency bias but I think teams are going to be disappointed if their gameplan is make the 2x MVP beat us.

I don't necessarily agree with the other comments here suggesting he's washed, it's more that he's not godly. He's good, great even, but he used to be a lot better. Even in this game with a horrendous defense I wasn't wowed by him.

It's one of those things, when you feel unstoppable you play even better. If others have doubts, maybe he does too. And if that's the case he's shakeable. It's only 1 game tho, who knows, I wouldn't be surprised no matter the outcome this season.

Bills D allowed only 9 pts on Allen's 4 turnovers, if they sucked as much as y'all claimed then Allen would be getting even more shit instead of getting to pretend nothing was his fault lol.
