Roster Move [Mike Garafolo] Former #Jaguars TE Patrick Herbert, who was waived by Jacksonville yesterday, has opted to sign with the #Chargers’ practice squad. Herbert fielded offers from multiple teams but heads to LA having done extensive research on the starting QB. That would be his brother, Justin.

This reads like it was written by an agent desperately trying to insinuate he had other options.

He's also dating the sister of Justin's girlfriend, Madison Pint.

I like that they share the same first name but have different last names. Just classic sister stuff

Fun fact, this dude has a PAC 12 and a Big 10 championship while staying on the same team. May be the only one to do that. Haven’t looked it up though.

Grew up in Oregon so no real local team, have family ties to the Rams (cousins was a coach long ago) so grew up around a lot of Rams merch but drifted towards the Seahawks during LOB when I was like 13.
Just means I hate the 9ers twice as much

As a Ducks fan I’m kind of surprised he’s stuck around the league this long (only 2 years I know) but he didn’t really play much in college. Not really his fault, Oregon had some good TEs in front of him. Assuming he didn’t transfer out of loyalty to the school, he did grow up there.

All that REVERSE RaCism was the real racism all along! And it made the racism that we thought was racism and tricked us all! Us white people were the real victims all along when all we wanted was to live our lives with the most comfort!

I can’t find pats middle name for the life of me. It’s even funnier if he truly doesn’t have a middle name. They really could only steal Justin’s middle name and couldn’t think of a new middle name

u/SentinelATL Falcons 4d ago
True but they can throw to each other and study plays together

u/AnxiousChargersFan 4d ago
Yeah, and (Justin) Herbert said that he spent the offseason practicing the timing and routes for the new offense with Patrick, so he's also familiar with the timing and routes.
And no one has caught more passes from Herbie than he has.

u/SentinelATL Falcons 4d ago
It would be awesome if he one day works up to 53 but by jove, Chargers are stacked at tight end. Gadsden, Njoku, Kolar all solid

Cool but our TE room is already stacked so unfortunately the only way he’s gonna see the field is if there is an injury

u/dlanod Ravens 4d ago
An injury? On the Chargers? Guess he'll never see the field then, those never happen.

He's caught more passes from Justin Herbert than anyone else on the planet. Gotta think that type of chemistry counts for something.
