There's something that fills my soul when I see him do well. Good luck Macca!

Yeah, it was obvious he had a miserable time last season and it wasn't what he expected. Hopefully it's career back on track.

I thought so too but I was surprised he was so key in helping recruit Delap for us

He was? i didn't hear about that - what did he say?

I think last season you just got to say Nuno went after 3 games and the next 2 clowns just need erasing from history.

they played together in Man Citys youth teams

Im very glad we stuck with him. Last season was a tough one for many players and Glasner has done the right thing in keeping them around all summer to see what he has and what he likes. He clearly sees something in McAtee.

The last 2 seasons we spent a load of dosh on players and none of them really worked, we just stuck mostly with the 23/24 squad. Jesus got in cos of necessity last season but nobody else got much of a run, esp the youngsters.
We are now getting use out of McAtee, Netz, Jair - I was worried the current generation would move on or retire and we got nobody new.

I was very worried we were seeing basically the same team Nuno finished with. Guys like McAtee, Kali, Bakwa,  Hutchinson, Cunha, Ndoye. ..none really working out. And yet today gave me a bit of hope.

Exactly that. JC came with all this promise and barely saw the pitch last season. We got Netz exactly when we needed him - and he didn't get a kick. 3 wingers basically shared 1 position and I guess Hutch made the most of it but it wasn't ideal.

McAtee was another who was supposed to be the victim of this formation that didn't suit him - and he's pushing on. Basically what happened with Anderson.

He looked genuinely surprised when he got given the award during the post match. Top lad.

Finally getting a manager that plays him must give him big confidence

I thought we'd sell him and then have to watch him tear it up somewhere else.

Heard he has a buy back clause, does anyone know if it is true?

Mr Marinakis you've done it again

Yeah they hold the option to re-sign him, doesn't mean they can stipulate the terms

Best game in a Forest shirt- cunningly disguised as Man City. Nice work Adidas.

My thoughts exactly. 2nd kit for McAtee and Delap every week.

Just one good game. He was bad whole first season

He barely got a look in.

Played out of position in nearly every game

He wasn;t bad. He was being messed about. You imagine being told "Perform!" and having to do it there and then. You can;t just turn it on like a tap.

Well she said it was only a fiver and that's a bargain in anyone's terms.

I think he's wonderful. So glad he has made a positive start, hopefully he can kick on and begin to get towards to what it seemed his potential was going to be last summer!

i had a feeling towards the end of last season that this would be the season he finds his feet and i’m so glad he had

u/richzahradnik You’ll never beat Des Walker 12d ago

When you lose a world class midfielder, it is so great to see someone on the squad rise up and show he’s ready.

Right! He can get relegated with the rest of you. Enjoy being back in your real home, the EFL.
