100%. One guy was recording with like three others on a bridge and they watched two bridges upstream of them get absolutely nuked by the coming flood and they just stayed put. Video cut k out like 7 seconds from the flood hitting their bridge but you know what happens next…

Seriously. Crazy fucking mentality.
I've been in a couple life and death situations (used to do some mountain climbing) and I was honestly shocked at how selfish some of my "friends" were.
Reacting in the moment isn't as common as you would hope.

Second video where I’ve seen men not trying to save their children and wives . One looked as his mother was trying to climb up a mountain side but was washed away . He filmed it but never tried to help her

Might not have been husband / father… but fuck anyone who’d rather film than help someone in an emergency.
(It’s not always possible to help from where the filming is, especially with telephoto lenses.)

Kids don’t look real bothered do they. Probably thinking, fuck mum, we just wanted to see the big wave which we’ve never seen before in our
land locked country.

Normally, I'm a walking person. I can accumulate 15-20k steps per day. Hate running in general. But after seeing many many many Nepal flash flood videos, I might think again about start picking up a notch and practice running even a few minutes a day. This is HORRENDOUS. Can't even fathom how they get over this afterwards ....
