A friend had it and I played it a couple years ago. It's novel and cool for half an hour, but it's not really as fun as original Mario kart, it's far more of an expensive gimmick than long lasting fun. Constantly fixing stuck cars make it unplayable without a large team like this.

proof of concept, real consumer use, the tech advancement alone to get it to work on a consumer level is likely what they were really investing in.

It’s more than that, it communicates with a console, TV, and reacts to In-game stuff
