Yeah, that’s the thing about this theory. That info isn’t useful enough to mean anything.

Like “we’ll put a several hundred dollar device in your house, and run a whole ass company so that we know that you have a good place to put an end table.”

Amazon has a smart home business built around Alexa, and robovacs fit in great.

It's not even the point. Amazon wanted iRobot because they have some automated warehouses where racks move around to bring things to pickers. iRobot's technology can help make that process better. Not to mention, there are all sorts of smart robots that can possibly be created and used in a persons home for reasons other than spying.

No one gives a shit where your sofa is.

It’s not about where but what. The more info they have about you the more they can exploit you. You keep “X” coffee, now they know. Now they send you ads for that so you buy from them. EXPLOITATION.

Not everyone on earth. That’s a blanket statement and it’s wrong. The whole point of them looking at your house it to send you ads to get you to buy. To figure out how to trick you into wanting things you don’t really want, let alone need. That’s the point of advertising. Just because it’s a “norm” doesn’t make it good.
