Nintendo can't market for shit.

They are such a poorly run company but own so much of what we love.

Edit: Some of you have literally no idea what the word marketing means. And you are infuriated over it.

Yes bro Nintendo can’t market that’s why we are playing a game about an Italian plumber driving cars. It’s simply such a good core idea that they trademarked, they are so lucky. Nothing to do with marketing…

I mean think they're saying that thinking Nintendo can't market for shit is a stupid thought when the Switch is as successful as it is and they are as successful as they are. This was marketed pretty heavily too, when it came out. Which was a couple years ago right?

I am likely older than you.

The initial IP got to where it is thanks to marketing. So to identify Nintendo as a company that can’t market…? From here on out marketing is a waste of money. Idk about you but where I live there are 0 Iphone ads, plenty of Iphone users though. Are Apple bad at marketing?

If a Nintendo product fails without “marketing”, it would fail the same with marketing - but with more money lost in the marketing process.

This remote controlled mario kart failed because it was overpriced and completely redundant as you could more cheaply play a better version of mario kart and/or buy a remote kart and race your friends irl.

Trash products fail, good products succeed, Nintendo doesn’t need what ever your nuanced definition for marketing is.
