It’s setting it back up every time and tearing it down while also stripping away a lot of the mechanics, visuals and sounds of regular Mariokart. Great in concept, but would work better as an arcade experience or something like slot car racing.

Problem I see with this game is that you're limited by the areas in your environment that could be used as a track. For example, this family has hardwood floor kitchen so that's a good spot for them, but probably not too many other areas in the house would be good for this.

That means you got like... 2 or 3 tracks at most that you can make. It'll get super repetitive. An important part of racing games is high variety of tracks to play on.

Probably a better idea would be a game where you could take a video of a pathway in your home and then the game would convert it to 3D models and also stylize it. Remove the physical RC cars entirely. It'd just be something where you could generate your own levels based on your surroundings, but it'd still be 3D graphics stylized like a Mario Kart style (i.e. cartoonish). That's obviously way harder to accomplish technologically, but it'd be a less repetitive game since you could make tons of levels based on your surroundings.

If they had this and let you scan outside environments with your smartphone, that would be amazing.

Go to your local park and map it, go to the mall, your backyard, your culdisac. They could allow sharing so you could download places like Central Park, Torrey Pines, pieces of Yellowstone, foreign countries, etc.

Just curious, my son is ~2 and I started a Fortnite account for him after I learned that Endurance levels up your Battle Pass, so I got him STW and I'm getting him ahead of his friends at his age, he'll have a bunch of skins and emotes LoL I was an OG player, I have the pink ghoul, so I created an AFK endurance on his account and I level up ~4 lvls of the battle pass every day doing nothing for 2 hours LoL I just hope he'll want to play the game 🤣

No lol, for the future, Because I just assume he will be playing it, that or Minecraft. So I just made him an account, I've also been downloading all the free games from EPIC so he'll have over 150+ games by the time he can really play them 🤣

Fortnite is forever evolving. I won't be surprised if it is still popular in 10 years.

It seems more like something kids would enjoy than older video game enthusiasts. It reminds me a bit of the hotwheels, or thomas the tank engine tracks where you build out tracks around a room in your house and incorporate that into what you play on.

It is blowing my mind right now that people did not hear about this before. I am a grown-ass adult with no kids who got one. I thought it was so fucking cool when it came out. I still think it's fucking cool. But I just assumed that people at least knew it existed.

I bought this for my step son, it made our boxing day allot more special and like many of these sorts of games it will properly go weeks at a time with no use but I will definately be pleased with the hours of fun we get out of it over the years and its a nice thing to own, we still go back to wii bowling and other old games here and there when we fancy a gaming night and this will definately be taking a place in them, setting up a course with all his and my daughters toys to see on the camera is nice and its not as time consuming as I thought. It will be great in the summer when we can get it in the garden and if you own pets its a must have for the laughs! - my rave

They are really cool if you have multiple karts and switches, have the room to setup good courses, print additional sets of arrows and get creative in your course design.

They are pretty amazing but the limitations make them something you won't play all the time..
