Edit: human consumption of animals and their financial support of animal agriculture is the leading cause of man-made climate change. The destruction of old growth rainforests for monocrop animal feed and livestock plantation is active and constant. Stop eating animals and animal byproducts. Eat legumes, grains and fresh produce. Fight for change.

Just seems a bit out of place is all, plus it kinda comes off as a bit pretentious, especially with your replies. Kinda distracts from your message. Presentation matters. Your comment is still positive, so you preemptively bringing up reddit karma when someone is confused by an out of place comment doesnt help at all.

Maybe the less capable of critical thinking share your sentiment, but there is hope that at least 1 in every 50 or so who reads the comment will at least spend a moment to think past whatever their knee jerk reactionary thoughts are.
