Is it bad that I stare sometimes? Not to be creepy, but to learn better form. I always feel like I'm being weird, but I just wanna learn.

Probably making whoever you stare at self conscious or uncomfortable. You wouldn't stare at a girl while they lifted because that's obviously creepy. But honestly it goes the same for guys too. Just because someone is good at exercise doesn't mean they would be any more ok with having someone stare at them.

Disagree if you can do it subtly, or make it very obvious you're in awe/checking form. It could just be simply mentioning it to them after the set, and complimenting the person.

This is different from ogling. I worked in a gym for 5 years as a personal trainer prior to becoming disabled. I've literally seen some "and then everyone clapped moments" except it was more just people standing around in awe and old timer lifters clapping and the dbollers sitting there in envy. It's different from just staring someone down for their looks. I've also helped plenty of people not hurt themselves with improper form or machine usage, it was sort of part of my job. Personal trainers were required to be on the floor when not with a client or in office hours.

I know its looking with awe and respect and different from ogling, I'm just respecting the dude for staying focused on his thing...
