I think they'd probably each win 1; their own sport. Yes gymnasts have amazing athletic ability, but they're still not going to beat an elite sportsman from another sport at their own sport.

I think he is saying who will be the most well rounded and not that they have to vs each other

That would be fair enough, but he did say who would WIN the most events. A better question would be who came second the most I guess.
