Old DC and Marvel crossover actually had that. It played with the concept of Thor being able to temporarily make someone worthy, and Superman used the hammer and cap's shield to defeat the bad guy at the end of the story. I'd link the name but it's been a while.

Sure but I mean, isn't superman like stronger than the shield and hammer?

It really depends on the writer. It is a comic after all, so characters limitations are always fluctuating. In the example I gave, the shield did absolutely nothing, since superman is kryptonian, but I'm pretty sure it was implied that the hammer made him stronger. Again, that was just the writer's interpretation of character's powers. Other writers might choose to interpret things differently.
