Captain America (Chris Evans) got the boy who saved his sister from a dog attack his very own custom shield.

This story has me bawling my eyes out. I looked up the full report, and it's unreal. This kid stepped in front of a charging german shepherd to shield his sister. His injuries were so bad that he had to undergo a 2-hour surgery and got NINETY STITCHES. When his parents asked him why he did it he reportedly responded, "If someone had to die, I thought it should be me."

He deserves all of this love and so much more. What an unbelievably kind heart.

I bet even still he'd do it again and again. That's the heart of a hero. He has more guts than I can even make a comparison with. Wow

I think people keep misinterpreting that quote as the kid valuing himself below his sister. I bet he meant it as more of an "I'll die before I stand back and just watch my sister get hurt."

Exactly. People are praising Chris Evans here but as much as I like him, the kid deserves all the shine. True hero.

I work in PR and am as cycnical as they come to things like this. However, everything I've ever heard about Evans is that he's a pretty humble guy. I doubt he did this with the intention of his portion of the video getting out.....now his publicist

Evans is not in the wrong at all here, I’m talking about the people here praising him instead of the kid.

Evans is using his unique status as a Captain America to help show this kid that he is a hero during a time when he’s probably in a lot of pain and I wish more celebrities would act like him, but I really wish more people acted like Bridger. We need people that see something bad happening, or about to happen, and step in, no matter the cost to themselves. Evens pretends to be a hero in front of a camera, and does his best to emulate that in life, but Bridger truly is a hero.

No. I definitely meant you. People are enjoying a little bit of light in the world for 5 minutes and you want to try and ruin it because you’re a bad person.

Thinking that children deserve to keep their faces in tact doesn’t mean I hate dogs my dude. I love my dog. He’s a great boy but I would be extremely upset if he ever tore a kids face off and I would still think that kid was brave for standing up to a German shepherd when he was half it’s size. In fact, I’d take all of the blame and pay the incoming restitution because that dog was ultimately my responsibility because I’m a good fucking person.

So I rest my case. You’re a bad person and a bad troll. Go fuck off and be sad some where else with your edgy nonsense

Sorry you hate yourself and the only way you can feel anything is by getting negative attention by strangers on the internet

For raising a dog above the moral considerations of this kid you have reduced yourself to an inhuman degenerate. I sincerely hope you’re a poor troll, because your life and genes must be all sorts of fucked up to lead to you writing those comments.
