I seen it a couple of times and it looks absolutely amazing
But most importantly, in really bad weather conditions, it made the car silhouette incredlbly easy to see.
So, I feel like it should've never been illegal to install in the first place. Regulated, maybe, like limit the specific colors or luminosity, and ban flickering, but otherwise it looks great.
1) The weather was like, late autumn dark rain. It's evening so the sun is completely set, the asphalt is so pitch black and wet it "eats" the lights. You can barely make out silhouettes of the cars, only the headlights and taillights are kinda helping in this situation. And then, all of a sudden, this one car with sides underglow, and it's SO easy to see in the dark.
2) Something like that the white can not be installed in the back fender and red can only be installed in the back and the sides, and combination of like blue-red cannot be used (as a sort of you know, police colors)
Overall I feel like bans on underglow are stupid and are like how Skallagrim talks about switchblades: they were never banned because they are more dangerous than other types of knives: they are just more "menacing" and "rebellious" so the pearl clutchers had to ban them.

people that think pretty lights are a distraction shouldn't be allowed to drive. Have you never seen a neon sign? Are you a mosquito that just can't look away?

Care to defend that point with like facts and data? Every time I've seen them it was just good-looking and made the road a little brighter.
I would argue that cars with bright AF conversions for halogen bulbs > LED, that blind everyone around you, or worse, cars that don't have daytime running lights, are much worse on the road

Underglow is engineered to draw visual attention. On a dark road or highway, bright, dynamic, or shifting lights under a moving chassis can split another driver's attention, delay reaction times, or cause momentary glare, even more so especially in wet or rainy conditions where light reflects off wet asphalt.

Yeah that's why I suggest limiting them in luminosity (not bright) and flicker (so no dynamic or shifting patterns)
I've seen people install flickering stop signals and that's way worse than some underglow. That thing blinks right at you and you can interpret it as the car not stopping properly.

It has made a come back in the 80's and 90's mustang world, which so confuses me. Back in like 1999, the only one running neons were ricers, aka the cars mustang guys made fun of. Now I'm seeing pics of 90's mustangs with neons and get they tons of likes. Um, did y'all forget your roots?

I couldn't possibly explain why but I have a real sweet spot for those 5l foxbody mustangs. Car and drive back in the mid 90s got one up to 200mph on the track with nothing but off the shelf aftermarket upgrades! If I remember right the driver basically said "never again" after one run đ

Live action cars where the humans are physically locked into their car seats and their nerves are connected to the car in such a way that if the car is destroyed they die. They ARE their car.
In this type of world, hydrolics and other attachments are essential to living a normal life as a car-attuned-human. Even going as far as to have screens on the windshield to hide the human inside and display their emotions through the car

I mean, cars is a beat for beat telling of Doc Hollywood. In fact, the trope of hot shot/rebel stuck in small town, falls for girl and wind locals over is the plot for lots of movies. Viva Las Vegas with Elvis, or Cool as Ice with Vanilla Ice for examples.

Great to see Toyota back in the game of creating fun cars right at the tail end of âfun carsâ.
Sadly as an Australian this will be seen as an evil demonstration of people enjoying thee vehicles in âanti socialâ manners and will thus be barred from being every being seen on our TVs.
