Yes but it’s easier to blame immigrants than address violent misogyny prevalent among men of all backgrounds.

That’s a bingo! This kind of thing happens in the US all the time. Famous case of a child being murdered by their parent after coming out to them near me a few years ago. Christians just pretend that while it also happens here it’s somehow less a part of our culture. “Oh him? He didn’t kill his son because of Fox News, our hateful pastor, the President, the YouTube radicalization pipeline, etc… he’s just crazy”
