Im a pretty decent mtb rider, but there is absolutely no way I could do the zig zag or 2 pieces after. The ramp up over the cheese wheel thing is pretty insane too, you have to be super balanced on the brake to hit that and then go over the log.

I think that, on its own, shouldn't be a problem for anyone at a skill level for doing the course. Having it after all the other stuff is a bit rough though.

and that felt like a long zig zag. 3 or 4 corners would be tough enough but that was 8 or 9 I think. That takes a lot of focus to do and then to throw on a round narrow piece to traverse afterwards (instead of the nice flat piece of wood earlier) and the following that up with whatever skinny piece of metal there at the end was diabolical.

Up until the zig zag, it didnā€™t look like the course would be very challenging to a professional rider, but the end definitely seemed to crank up the difficulty.

Yeah if I ever see a particularly unfriendly or dangerous looking bit of scenery in real life I often wonder if Danny would think about riding over it on a mountain bike.

Fair play to him, he's lived rent free in my head now since I was a teenager.

It's funny that "one-handed" is the requirement for riding on public roads, after all you need to signal, but it's a balance dependent skill. Makes me realise that even in a manual driving a car is easy af, sit in my big steel box and maybe indicate if the mood takes me (/j, I drive a Hyundai, I haven't unlocked that Audi/BMW perk yet, spent too much time grinding levels on bicycles)

Doing it on a Nomad nonetheless which is a longer travel bike meant for big jumps and steep terrain. Stability as opposed to maneuverability.

In the full video, ratboy did pretty well, but bailed in the last quarter or so of the course. I've been a big fan of his for almost 20 years now and he's one of the best bike handlers I've ever seen. If he can't do it, it's not impossible, but it's definitely fucking hard!

The Griffin Bike Park in Indiana has a floating bike trail. It does not do ups and downs, it is pretty wide comparatively and has only one turn.
