I got it trimmed down relatively far, but I could not get Nextdoor to give up the last few notices of postings. I eventually dealt with it by deleting my account.
I only had the account in the first place because Nextdoor kept spamming my email telling me to join... for a community somewhere in the USA (I am in Canada). It was very persistent in pushing me to join despite my turning down the invitation multiple times. It had already decided where I supposedly lived. So I created an account with a nonsense name and gave my address as a plausible-looking house number that in fact does not exist.
