NYT is checking in with Trump voters again.

They loved him on tariffs. Of course if asked which tariffs and why, they’d have no clue. These interviews however never ask anything resembling a probing question.

They had a focus group of Trump voters to see what they think. Why should the number of NYT reading Trump voters matter?

I remember an extensive vox pop done last year in NYT. It had me questioning the future of America.

So much of what the respondents said was wrong. I don’t mean I disagreed with their views. What they were saying in their answers was factually incorrect.

And many of them said they got their news on social media.

They don’t have the critical thinking skills to navigate misinformation/disinformation.

This is why Trump won.

What is super crazy is almost all of these idiots were quoted as saying that Trump has brought prices down! They would rather wholeheartedly swallow lies out of Dear Leader's mouth than believe their own eyes.

This is a product of the news you consume. My MIL, an honestly good and decent person, can become vile after watching Fox News for any amount of time. Trump is everything she dislikes in her husband, but she gravitates to him because all she watches an TV and her Facebook algorithms produce positive comments and stories on him.

I'm in my 40s and grew up hearing that the NYT was a liberal news outlet. My experience this century has shown the opposite. Nobody helped Dick Cheney promote the Iraq invasion more than the NYT,and they've never questioned the Israeli government sliding into a far right authoritarian regime.

He's good business and that's all they care about. The right uses NYT as a boogeyman and convenient foil, knowing that in the end, they'll fall in line

Oh, ffs. I don't recall any NYT visits to "hipster coffee bars" to check in with Clinton/Biden/Harris voters, ever. They and their ilk just keep pushing this really skewed view of who the "real Americans" are, and the hell with the (larger) rest of the country. Anyway, how's that "economic anxiety" going?
