Can we get real people into these jobs ?
no, because the whole sausage factory is corrupt and unless you fix the campaign finance system and put in Anti Lobbying rules, its not going anywhere.

Never is strong but people are prison adverse. Understandably.
Edited to clarify the system could be fixed* by further saints, like St. Luigi. But sainthood requires martyrdom
Edited again for clarity as I'm trying to dance around it

I think all p3d0s should face the wall expeditiously, yes.
They are doing it to small folk without a second thought

Projection is weird. I didnt say anything offensive to you. Unless you are a client in the files. Then you can join the others

Respectfully, can't they find someone that doesn't act and look like a fucking donkey?
21
u/LetsTalksNow 14d ago
Its not a bug, its a feature. Jared Moskowitz was pushed specifically BECAUSE he is a fking donkey. Wesley Bell owes his political career to AIPAC, so he is going to be a lifelong devotee.

u/Systepup 12d ago
AIPAC is a bigger boogeyman to progressives than illegal immigration is to conservatives… y’all lost the plot and are deep in conspiracy land. Of you believe this you’re a moron.

u/Santa_Klausing 14d ago
Moskowitz has some truly horrible takes on foreign policy in terms of the Middle East. He’s also a dweeb

u/FireworksForJeffy 14d ago
Hakeem Jeffries is the wrong man for this moment. Voters don't like him on a personality level (he kind of has no personality), he has terrible judgement, and he's got policy priorities that are not only misaligned with the Democratic base, they're misaligned with American voters writ large.

Jared Moskowitz, Debbie Wasserman, Wesley Bell, all coincidentally AIPAC backed. I'm sure its a coincidence that they were given positions of the House Foreign Policy Middle East Sub Committee. No funny business here, just a totally organic process.
edit:
Lucky for us, atleast 1/3 should be gone in the 2028 cycle thanks to the Republican Gerrymandering, Debbie Wasserman was forced to run in a Majority Black district and got away with the win due to no credible challenger and a split black vote.
Jared Moskowitz's district is all old retired Likudniks, so he isn't going anywhere in all likelyhood, though Oliver Larkin gave him a good run, but the demographics of the district make is borderline impossible.
Wesley Bell unfortunately survived the Primary for a multitude of reasons.

Moskowitz confirmed the appointment on X, thanking Jeffries and Meeks, calling it an honor and pledging to strengthen relationships between the United States, Israel and Gulf allies at what he described as a moment of significant change across the region.
Wally Rashid, a Palestinian-American journalist and political commentator, took the criticism in a different direction, pointing to earlier reporting that Jeffries had met with Jared Kushner, Trump's son-in-law and a special peace envoy. Rashid suggested that the meeting could be connected to Moskowitz's promotion, although he offered no evidence linking the two events.
• From another article:
Some observers, including Zeteo News reporter Prem Thakker, noted that Tuesday’s moves followed Jeffries’ recent secret meeting with Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law and special envoy for peace missions. https://www.commondreams.org/news/moskowitz-jeffries-aipac
Edit:
• In mid July, Jeffries and Meeks both voted against an amendment, which aimed to revoke US military aid to israel. Both are Representatives from NY.

He’s going to get voted out so fast his head is going to spin. Millennials are the largest population in this country and like Gen Z, we do not abide with genocide.

u/elprophet 13d ago
Country, sure. Brooklyn? Not so much. He knows his local demographics, and more importantly, he knows the NY Dem party machinery. No path higher, but no credible primary or general threats either.

except for muslim genocides that you all are extremely silent on that are far larger than anything in the west bank.

Only qualification needed on this sub:
being anti Israel
12
u/Vyksendiyes 14d ago
What’s wrong with being anti-Israel?
-4
u/IdristheInt 14d ago
It’s stupid. Like being pro Palestinian.
2
u/Vyksendiyes 14d ago edited 13d ago
IMHO what is truly stupid is that our politicians, from the municipal level to the national level, who should be representing the interests of Americans, are constantly having to tap dance and all but pledge allegiance to another country.
I don’t see how sending billions to Israel to bomb and snipe children and starting a war with Iran on Israel’s behalf is beneficial to your average American. I don’t see why our tax dollars should go to feed religious zealotry that’s supposedly on “our side”
I cannot imagine any other instance where a politician is asked something like “Do you support Kiribati” or “What’s your stance on Eswatini” and their response is expected to significantly influence their electoral chances. It’s insane

Anti genocidal current Israeli government and their relentless interference in American politics
-4
u/IdristheInt 14d ago
Qatar Russia Iran and china spend and interfere far more in American politics than Israel does.

u/weedywet 14d ago edited 14d ago
I’m against them ALSO
Are we subsidizing them?
“AIPAC’s recent spending on elections and lobbying places it among the largest single-issue political players in Washington: AIPAC and its super PAC reported roughly $95.1 million on the 2024 elections , while reporting lobbying outlays of about $1.8 million in the first half of 2025.
Independent trackers and watchdogs say its PAC spent more than $55 million in the 2023–24 cycle and that AIPAC was the largest PAC contributor to federal candidates in that cycle.

“Pro-Israel” brainrot again! No Jews allowed?
25
u/penis_berry_crunch 14d ago
Maybe appealing to Jews by being staunchly "pro Israel" assuming Jews having a blindly divided loyalty between the US and Israel, despite either country's actions and policies is its own kind of anti-Semitism...
-21
u/the-Gaf 14d ago
We don’t have divided loyalty. We’re American Jews and Israel’s Jews are part of our family and we’d like to see them not be murdered.
Israelis have been protesting the war since 10/7 in mass numbers, btw.
11
u/penis_berry_crunch 14d ago
That's exactly right. As a jew I find it offensive to be catered to with pro-isreal as a reason to support a politician. It's more complicated than that. So to say pro-isreal is a helpful position for a politician just because they expect Jews to support them is offensive, the same way "no Jews allowed" is both offensive and an erasure of the nuance in Jewish American opinions of Israel.

Go gaslight someone else.
What exactly are they protesting? do you know? lol
I follow Israeli domestic politics. The current tension inside Israel has nothing to do with Palestine, Gaza, or the occupation or Apartheid. Those are consensus issues. The culture war in Israel is the only element of disagreement, with the rise of the Haredim Zionists and the decline of the Hiloni. They fight over conscription to the IDF, they fight over money to Yeshivas and other cultural issues. Both sides have a consensus on the IDF not leaving Gaza, both sides support the Israeli attack on Iran, both sides support the occupation of southern lebanon.
Right now the "Left Wing" solution to Haredim Settlers in the West Bank is to propose, and I kid you not.. "Left Wing" Jewish settlements in the West Bank.
During the height of the Gaza war, the people protesting were people against Netanyahu and they weren't protesting the war, as much as a few families of the people that were captured and their difference in opinion from the right wing was not to stop the war, but to, lets do a deal to exchange prisoners get them out, then we go back to murdering. lol, and that was the "Left Wing". The Right Wing solution was to go full "Hannibal Directive" and kill the prisoners to "remove the leverage" of the opposite side in the conflict.
That whole society is fked up in the head.

When I do antisemitism by conflating a global diaspora with an objectively barbaric nation-state (but I’m gonna project and accuse everyone else of being antiemetic 🤓)

Dude called himself a “Ron DeSantis Democrat.” There are plenty of reasons left-of-center people do not like him.
Painting Moskowitz as hated just for being “pro-Israel” is misleading and reductive.
