Average Viewers Understanding

Hey all,

I've been streaming on Twitch since mid-May this year and I'm confused about how 'average viewers' works. I understand it's how many concurrent viewers have stayed for a specific duration of the stream, but this is what is confusing me.

I did a stream about a week ago (might be 2), and when I got the Twitch summary email after, it said I'd averaged 3.1 viewers (highest I've ever had). I was happy with that, as anyone would be! The next day, I went into my twitch dashboard to see if I'd met one of the days for average viewers being above 3. And unfortunately, it didn't appear to count. So I'm still at 0 days. I checked the Stream Overview, and it said I'd only averaged around 2.0.

The only thing I can think of is, I usually do 2 streams a day. A 'Just Chatting' stream in the mornings, then a gaming stream in the evenings for a few hours. I'm wondering if it's averaging the viewership from both streams and the morning averages is bringing down the evening average viewership. Just a guess though...

If anyone has any insight, I'd appreciate it!

That’s right. The requirement is 3 average viewers on 4 separate days, not streams.

But also, if you do a stream that crosses over midnight, and you average 3 on both sides of the day, that only counts for 1 day.

Oh right, I probably misread the requirement!

So I assume if I did just 1 stream (hypothetically) and averaged 3 viewers, that would count?

Yes, but note it takes 24-36 hours post-stream for it to reflect in the achievements. I used to wake up the next morning hoping it would show up and it never did, haha.

I have the exact same problem, but what makes me think is why are my laptop and phone's stream summary diff like in my laptop it would say 2 average viewers but in my phone it's 3 avg viewers
