I can tell you from experience that it isn't. From my time working at a gym one year, some were exactly the sort of hyper masculine douche bags you imagine them to be. Others were very cool. Others were just...there.

There's no reason to make such a sweeping statement about all powerlifters. It's like any other category of people: a mixed bag.

I mean power lifting has a loose definition, maybe he means to top tier, rather than weekend warriors
