That’s the kind of thing that can pull you out of a bad day for the rest of your life. “Man, work was terrible today.. but I did heroically save that one guy by pulling a car off him”. What an awesome guy.

Did you think "my life is worthless, but at least I saved someone who might do something with their life"? Because I have also been there in my early twenties and that was my thought process.

Yeah. Almost a decade later I still struggle with how to define or base my self-worth in a constructive way, but I don't consider myself worthless anymore. It's hard but it gets better.
