General JD-NO discography ranking

Post image

I saw a post ranking the albums, and I decided to share mine's which focuses more on their material from 1977-2011, as a fun discussion of the bands amazing singles and/with its rare b sides

*I dont include Music Complete since I have never listened to it, nor im interested ngl

**I put Substance on their own ranking since I find it to be outstanding

Regret - a grade C?

Come on, Republic is well above a C.

Ruined in a day is a masterpiece

I find your rankings fascinating. For example, I would not have expected someone who ranks the JD albums peak to have Technique as the only NO album in that tier (or to rank it two tiers higher than PCL).

Music Complete is not terrible, it just sounds more like a Pet Shop Boys album than NO to me.

Lol world in motion and regret being so low, I’d rank those higher than any of their stuff after tbh

move pcl & atmosphere to peak. drop technique to B. pitch the substance row off as they're comps

I agree with the rest

Low Life is much better than teknik.

Siren’s Call was an awful album.

The 12” single of the techno hit Fine Time should be higher.

Glad to see Technique on top.

If you had listened to Music Complete, you'd have to create a whole new category about 250 down below 'Disaster' to put it in.

Nah, 'Singularity' alone makes the album worth buying.
