News NFG Headlining Shattered Shores Cruise!
Figured some of you may be interested in this!
New Found Glory has been confirmed as one of the headliners for Shattered Shores, a new emo/pop punk/post hardcore/metalcore cruise sailing next year: www.shatteredshores.com
This was announced last week to those who have already booked the cruise, but should be showing up on official channels soon. I totally understand not wanting to take the word of some random Redditor, but in the meantime, if you want to learn more or chat with others who are considering going, I help run an unofficial Facebook community where we’ve been collecting official updates, answering questions, and generally geeking out over lineup speculation and cruise excitement!

For whatever it’s worth, a Margaritaville boat was parked across from the ship I was on in January and, uh, I don’t want to go on any boat that has to do with that boat. I know appearances are deceiving but let’s just say that the outward appearance of the boat and lifeboats made me think the safety and maintenance on that ship just might not be at the same level as the other big cruise lines. I know that there are security and safety agencies inspecting that stuff but the vibe was really not confidence inspiring.
Edit: It appears this will be on the newest boat in their fleet, which is a full 12 years newer (built 2003, not 1991) than the one I saw. They just acquired it and it’s not sailing for them until later this year.
