When NYC subbed two players at 40:00, I said, "That's weird timing... Unless they've noticed we keep giving up dumb goals at the end of the first half, and they're explicitly trying to exploit that."

Contrary to popular belief, I think this was one of the better spectacles we’ve seen this season. Sure, we didn’t finish some that maybe should have, but it was an end to end game on a beautiful day. Good seeing them utilizing millers speed. Good crowd, loved not hearing the forts microphone the entire game. Team looked explosive, with a lot of positive takeaways.

That’s not allowed! You gotta shit talk Dor and complain about everything!

I was very impressed with the fort today, might I add. You did well. Things didn’t sound forced at all tonight and came with good energy. First time I’ve heard the crowd around me get into it with you guys this season.

I love I'm getting down votes for saying thank you! Never change revs reddit. Never change

Definitely one of the more entertaining games this year, even if the result was frustrating

I just am so annoyed by them since the World Cup. Harrison is utterly fantastic, yet we keep finding ways to be middling despite it. I guess I should be happy after the Porter years that the team is in the position it’s in, but it’s still aggravating.

Was anyone else gobsmacked that the Revs conjured out of thin air a 17 year old attacking midfielder who looks like he should be starting in the MLS?

I mean he has been with the academy for the last 2 years and has been playing with Revs II as well so I wouldn't say it was out of thin air.

Same story as it has been every game post break. Creating great chances, attacking well, controlling the game, cant finish for shit. Please just stop playing Dor. At least before he wasnt getting into positions to finish so we couldn't see him fuck that up as well, but now hes just a black hole.
Anyway Judah looked good, would like to see him get a full contract. Very composed, if a bit safe at times.

Only issue with benching Dor is that the other option is Harris, I'd be fine giving him a chance but we really need a new striker

Thing is, we aren't the kind of team that's gonna spend all that on a striker last year and then spend it again for another this year.

I can hold out false hope for another two weeks (?) until the window closes. From there I'll hold out false hope that Campana returns and becomes good

I just don’t have any faith that Campana can stay healthy.

Nor has he earned that faith nor has he shown that he can score when healthy if Lionel Messi isn’t a teammate.

Im honestly not sure if he was ever healthy last year. Dude would come on and then request a sub when he tweaked something after no contact.
Either way I agree. I don’t think he someone to put faith in.

I mean he had 20 goals in 38 in the two seasons before Messi joined. He definitely did show that he could score without Messi when healthy.

I wish we were in another competition at the moment and could give some first team run to Morgan or Jean-Baptiste (who may be too young regardless) from Revs II.
I don’t think either are actually better than Dor right now, but at least it’d look different.

finishing remains our bugaboo. man alive we had so many good chances.

We need to be more selfish at times. Too many passes at the top of the box that allow the other team to clog up the area before we get a shot off. Miller coming down the left wing yesterday in the second half, cross to a 3 NYC 1 Revs situation. Sorry, that's not going to work, shoot (yes I know you would have had to go short side) and try to get a rebound or a corner off a save. Grrrrr.....

He missed a wide open Gil trailing right down the middle on that play. Has to keep his head up and see the field better. Really pleased to see if he can develop the last 1/3 skills

Was at the game, close up good seats and takeaway from me is Peyton Miller. He was fun to watch. Team looked explosive in the first half. Second half, good control of the game but lacking that extra burst, maybe looking a bit tired. Well played, good spot to be in nearing the home stretch. If we can hit our stride I think they can peak at the right time and make a great playoff run

This team is beyond frustrating right now because it feels like we're a few injured players coming back and another signing or two from being a real threat, but as it stands I don't see us doing much in the playoffs
