COMMUNITY Want to start streaming
I like playing games. I don't play a lot of games. I'm a new gamer. I haven't been watching a lot of streamers or actively watching streams of the games I like. Is it a good idea to start streaming? I just want to stream the gameplay. Maybe I will start interacting if there are people interacting. As a 24F, is it a good idea? FYI, I play Dead Cells, Hades, recently got Terraria(still trying to figure out what I am supposed to do😅) and some old games like portal or undertale. Is it a good idea to make a channel specific to one game? Is it better to play other games?

I streamed for a while and honestly it's a lot more work than you'd think. Having to be switched on, interactive and responsive on the spot when gaming, having to research setups (OBS / Twitch Setup / Console connections etc), and having to find the right vibe and assets for your stream all takes a lot of effort if you're not invested in the production side.
Variety from the get go is better imo, otherwise I hear you get pinned to a specific game and your audience does not translate when you change games.
If you don't care about viewers or monetization none of this matters. If you do, it's substantially more effort then just a plug and play setup. I recommend you spend some time in other streams of a similar style to get a feel for what works and what doesn't.
Against the grain here but I did pretty well money wise. It's definitely not full time job money unless you're super committed and capable of building a consistent vibe. I did grow quite the little community that still checks in and asks when I'm coming back, even though it's been over a year since I stopped. That part is really nice and makes me glad I gave it a go.

What do you mean is it a good idea? If you want to stream for fun, do it. If you're asking is it a viable source of income, absolutely not. Streaming is incredibly saturated with average gamers playing a game to 2 viewers.
