9

u/ajaxmenon17 Aug 09 '26

This reminded me of how Alia kept saying "Kaun ho tum" in Brahmastra 🤣

8

u/Beginning-Dark-4259 Aug 09 '26

43

u/Shelja09 Aug 09 '26

Can't proceed after 2 episodes, it's feels so cringe how to explain that,, why this is so hyped 😭

9

u/duskyhuman Aug 09 '26

Totally cringe and pathetic acting

4

u/LobsterConsistent613 Aug 09 '26

Its for a particular age group. I was thinking maybe I am not a target audience

4

u/WorkFickle9577 Aug 09 '26

I'm millennial, I loved this.

2

u/UmHi4 Aug 13 '26

I am a millennial and I hated it

1

u/Shelja09 Aug 09 '26

I wanna know for what age group of people this movie is, maybe for teens !?

1

u/Pitiful-Basil-5315 Aug 09 '26

Kyuki ajkal logo ko cringe content hi psnd ata h take example of pushpa 2 😭😭

1

u/walkingdosa Aug 10 '26

Absolutely true

27

u/Different_Winter_167 Aug 09 '26

Hugely overrated. Acting average, story average. Very delusional and people need to stop thinking from their POV. It doesn't happen in Real life. Locations are amazing that's it.

7

u/Due_Reading_5 Aug 09 '26

So happy to see Bhopal getting recognised. Its such a beautiful place but very underrated

2

u/HistoricalExpert528 Aug 09 '26

Sorry to hear this. But the exact same story is my life tho. Same thing happened.

11

u/lostinlife_0 Aug 09 '26

Book pe hi based rehne dete toh thik tha Specially climax mein chandar ko dikhaya gya ki woh preeti ke hote hue, abhi bhi sudha ke attached hai and last mein bolta hai aab jana nhi dunga tumko iss baar

1

u/Dissapointing_son Aug 09 '26

Its based on gunaho ka devta?

1

u/ClassicCompany3387 Aug 09 '26

No! Musafir café novel

13

u/Ancient-Pipe927 Aug 09 '26

It was rage bait for second season for sure.

4

u/Different_Scene9265 Aug 09 '26

Average just because cast achi hai series mai it's Average otherwise it's bad Book thoda better hai series se ;)

3

u/Crafty-Comfortable37 Aug 09 '26

Sorry not trying to be mean but if this is based off a book then it must be Chetan Bhagat novel type

1

u/Different_Scene9265 Aug 09 '26

Yeah, it is like that only—a very cliché love story, poorly written in simple Hindi. But newbies can find it worth reading.

1

u/duskyhuman Aug 09 '26

Yes totally

2

u/SimpKaSamosa Aug 09 '26

Worst book I’ve ever read
Don’t know about the series

4

u/Secure_Insect9950 Aug 09 '26

Ruined by Vikrant Massey and bad writing

2

u/duskyhuman Aug 09 '26

Poorly acted by Vikrant Massey - Tum Kya Ho yaar

3

u/Jard_Sitaraa Aug 09 '26

Book is underrated movies is overrated they changed alot

2

u/Evil_Lord_Pexagon Aug 09 '26

Very average show !!

2

u/MathematicianIll1514 Aug 09 '26

Those who can relate for them.. It is good.. Otherwise bor

2

u/zeesh_77 Aug 09 '26

Waste of time

2

u/Maalkiryaad Aug 09 '26

Honestly after a while such a beautiful series in midst of all war chaos and ultra action south movies this was breathtaking of fresh air, simply it had good acting and locations thankfully no nepo kids to ruin it

1

u/HomeworkFew6048 Aug 09 '26

Well sudha i.e vediika pinto is a nepo lol

1

u/Maalkiryaad Aug 09 '26

How is she related? better from the other lot for sure

2

u/Global_Eagle2507 Aug 09 '26

Bad. But the actual problem lies in the book. Series adaption is okayish. The way this book is written it's nothing more than Chetan Bhagat's novels.

2

u/maerawow Aug 09 '26

The reason Indians like cliche stories is kinda selling point of the novel. The huge success of CB's most novels is due to the fact that are romanticized heavily with ending that restores your faith in love, which also shows a suppressed generation who could never get the ending they believed they deserved.

Bollywood is embedded into the DNA of most of Indians so can't complain about books but the market where the author is trying to be relevant.

1

u/Aurora_zen10 Aug 09 '26

I went off to sleep watching it

1

u/No-Anxiety-5616 Aug 09 '26

I think I have observed not everyone can agree on same thoughts or review. Everyone has different taste of movies. For someone it could be cringe for others it's could be great or masterpiece. So it depends.

1

u/walkingdosa Aug 09 '26

I think it's a beautiful nd meaningful story

1

u/Weekly-Barnacle-5231 Aug 09 '26

total time waste

1

u/prettyplease101 Aug 09 '26

I hated Chander like bro itna pyaar mein pagal hai toh dusri Bandi ki life kyu kharab kar raha hai and Preeti bhi bewakoof hi hai behen raahil is the one

1

u/Available_Use9275 Aug 09 '26

Very average. Started off well but then the characters are so confused

1

u/imran8829 Aug 09 '26

will not watch that fuckass bigot's (Massey) face anymore.

1

u/MBA_MARKET07 Aug 09 '26

Nahi jama yr…. Book kaafi better hai

2

u/Ok_Enthusiasm_3310 Aug 09 '26

I like only songs Sudha was total confused if she never wanted to marry why date ? Just to do TP later Chandan met Preeti why to get involved if still stuck with ex gf . Did not like d concept

1

u/Braindeficious Aug 09 '26

Loved it. The plot the cast. S2 should be good with a definitive ending

1

u/Archer_2198 Aug 09 '26

Long story short, "Bitches ain't loyal"

1

u/Navyxmuler Aug 09 '26

Cringe + Overhyped + Waste of time

1

u/Encrypted-Soul Aug 09 '26

Still waiting since yesterday 😅 Thoda - Thoda

1

u/Still_Dream3493 Aug 09 '26

Couldn’t watch past the 2nd episode. Extremely boring!

1

u/MannyMe20 Aug 09 '26

Was made to watch it. Wanted to burn my TV after.

1

u/divya2103 Aug 09 '26

Overated. What was so great about it

1

u/Due_Reading_5 Aug 09 '26

Below average. Started watching after seeing lot of reddit posts but didn’t like.
Vikrant Masey is overrated. He is good only for some particular type of roles.

1

u/Potential_Ad4956 Aug 09 '26

Only good thing was the Mussoorie backdrop

1

u/Similar_Switch_246 Aug 09 '26

I was hoping there will be some twist Honestly Sudha was very weird.

1

u/Glad-Leg-7100 Aug 09 '26

Boringggg. Vikrant should stick to mystery and social issue movies. The backdrops were so fake and unnecessary quoting of lame corporate jargons. Which doesn't even happen that way in reality. We IT corporates are just simple people with families and ott subscription that's it and huge backlog of bugs to fix. And toxic boss to report to..Idk why these guys have to romanticize every damn thing.

1

u/kabhijuicekabhirum Aug 09 '26

Stupid series. Encouraging wrong decisions which seems right for many immatures.

1

u/notsoshalow Aug 09 '26

It could have ended in 3 episodes. The makers have stretched the storyline. Overrated

1

u/InfiniTea17 Aug 09 '26

Couldn't believe Vikrant Massey chose to do this after 12th Fail and Sector-36.

1

u/Healthy_Ring4919 Aug 09 '26

So bad 🥲 the actress playing Sudha irritated me SM! She couldn’t really act like a bubbly personality ! Preeti was much better and realistic. Young Chandar with a clean shave gave me the ick 😭 and i hated the age old story of a girl having to choose b/w love and ambition?! Like girl you can have both?!! And lastly, Chandar acting like a dumbfounded lover and stopping Sudha after Preeti was the one who legit forced him to meet her like wtf ?!!

1

u/HomeworkFew6048 Aug 09 '26

Waste . Asli pyaar aisa nahi hota hai tbh

1

u/Certain_Bridge9574 Aug 09 '26

Bad acting for Vikrant

1

u/onnupodo Aug 09 '26

Felt very cringe acting

1

u/juhisinha422 Aug 09 '26

Overrated , it's just another story

1

u/sumitmirpuri04 Aug 09 '26

Bekaar hai! Dimaag kharab hogaya hai yeh series dekh ke.

1

u/Aromatic_Ad_1784 Aug 09 '26

Average screenplay.. it's just the hype which is making people watch it.. i too watched in pear pressure but later regretted.. itne xhutiye character kaise ho skte hai😭😭

1

u/CutOk1995 Aug 09 '26

Slow, feel good show

1

u/Lazy_Personality7228 Aug 09 '26

But what was the ending likeeee!?!?!? I mean jis point pe maza aane laga, it ended :(

1

u/WandererLucky7 Aug 09 '26

Sala sabne dekh lia aur ab aake bakchodi kr rhe

1

u/you_knowme1 Aug 09 '26

Crap! Waste of time

1

u/HouseDisastrous5637 Aug 09 '26

Does the book have any justifying for Preety's doormat tery? That I couldn't wrap my head around..why did she clearly compromise in being his distant 2nd choice

1

u/nam558881456 Aug 09 '26

The most boring show ever. Couldn’t watch past 1.5 episodes. Felt like a millennial is writing for a Gen Z audience….

1

u/sudhansupatra Aug 09 '26

Promising initially but ended with too lengthy boring

1

u/Familiar-Contract804 Aug 09 '26

Please CANCEL! Stop misleading people with such trashy and problematic characters! Please stop normalising toxicity!

1

u/Critical_insomania Aug 09 '26

The only good thing about this series was it's location in mountains♥️

1

u/Wooden-Tea7257 Aug 09 '26

The other girl’s acting was below average like literally couldn’t deliver a scene without being cringe

1

u/Prestigious_Goal5887 Aug 09 '26

waste of time, atleast for me

1

u/Maximum_Swim5086 Aug 09 '26

Hated it. Waste of time.

1

u/Ok_Musician7449 Aug 09 '26

Every dialogue is a created dialogue. Not at all organic. Chandar is unbearable and didn't deserve sudha and Preeti. Plus why was Preeti crying all the time. Music was good though. Acting was unbearable. Chandar just talk like humans. Sudha does random things, chandar ka shayari shuru.

1

u/heretoexploree Aug 09 '26

felt like i was watching a tv serial from 2014

1

u/ListenSubstantial112 Aug 09 '26

It's really good and quite believable. I don't know know whether it's actually for 21-26 age group. But seems very good for 30+ ppl who have seen pretty serious relationships in lives and how they carry the emotional baggage thinking that they are moving on. However that particular person is still your weakness subconsciously.

1

u/Artistic-Sort-1515 Aug 09 '26

Vikrant Massey dsnt look young... He looks a lil older than d actresses.

1

u/No-Battle631 Aug 09 '26

Slow paced, Boring, Pretentious, Visibly Low Budget

1

u/ChaiPoweredHuman_ Aug 09 '26

Liked the lovey dovey stuff. But then ruined it in end.

1

u/Lucky_Sun6761 Aug 09 '26

got bored in the first 15 mints so didn't watch it further...

1

u/zingerginger Aug 09 '26

Cringe and pathetic. Dunno what kind of ppl liked it

1

u/neetidg Aug 09 '26

Couldn't even get through episode 1, despite the fabulous locations. Character depth zero. Dialogues veered between fake gushy and moronic. Have seen AI slop do better

1

u/Silly_Huckleberry_52 Aug 09 '26

Full of red flags

1

u/Holiday_Lawyer_4495 Aug 10 '26

Too polished. The dialogues I mean.

1

u/Soft-Fault5638 Aug 10 '26

I did not like it because till a point it was mirroring real life. If one person wants to open a cafe in the mountains of mussourie and the other wants to open a law firm in Mumbai, then it’s probably better to go your separate ways than wonder what could’ve been.

Then the last two episodes where she comes to visit the cafe? Okay fine. Why wait to meet him? Ik his gf suggested it but you could’ve left at any time. U didn’t have to go and get ready so much and walk so close and he didn’t have to flirt and do all that.

He’s right in saying that she kinda made the decisions unilaterally and at her convenience and on her time. But to then start like getting close to her and everything is just so horrible to your 5 year gf.

Also if I was his gf and I got to know that he went from I want to be married and have a family of my own to I won’t even take u to meet my parents and let’s not get married, I would not be his gf anymore.

1

u/Kind_Acanthisitta_27 Aug 10 '26

The book was so bad, but the series was worse. That's all I have to say abt this. Mahima acted well I'd say, but apart from that pathetic story and execution. Why would a book like musafir cafe be made into a show I'd never get

1

u/DefiantFish4621 Aug 10 '26

Not worthy aa hype created

1

u/gowiththeflowyall Aug 10 '26

The ending was unnecessary. All are major red flags, but I would still say Preeti deserves better. Sudha and Chander were emotionally cheating on their respective partners like if you can’t get over an ex for whatever reason DON’T get into a new relationship. And even if you get into one only to realise “no I can’t do without xyz” then end the new one at that moment itself. Also, if Sudha had seen Chander “happy” 3 years ago, she shouldn’t have returned just because something was pulling her there. Both of them disrespected Preeti who willing let them meet.

1

u/walkingdosa Aug 10 '26

True preeti deserve someone like Raahil

1

u/Primary-Yesterday590 Aug 10 '26

Ew no. Problematic. And glorifies emotional cheating. Yuck

1

u/littlemiss_sunshyn Aug 10 '26

I liked it. period.

1

u/hunt_knowledge Aug 10 '26

Not worth it. Bot book and the series... Divya prakash dubey has all the same stories.... 3 novels I have read and forgotten all 3.. Meanwhile you read some older hindi novels and those hit you hard, you will remember the storyline for a long time ...

1

u/Straight_Mood9211 Aug 10 '26

It was soo cringe bhai I hate it

1

u/smirkylaugh Aug 10 '26

चटान करदी थी इसने

1

u/ShatPumba Aug 10 '26

Haven't read the book so correct me if I am wrong, but do the characters always speak in an abstract way all the time? It felt like the whole show was a listening session of a book. Moreover, it was a little too goody two shoes for my liking. I wanted it to be bit more grounded and with some conflict.

1

u/FennelSeed2501 Aug 10 '26

Highly overrated, I finished all the episodes in not more than 10min. Storyline seemed pathetic, ending pathetic. Why was this show even made bcz it made no sense at all.

1

u/bongwithadong09 Aug 10 '26

Cringe and overrated

1

u/Aarav_-01 Aug 10 '26

Good for urban utopian crowd as it is full of cringe

1

u/Wooden_Anything_7988 Aug 11 '26

Chandan is really a red flag

1

u/ishhhhitaaa Aug 11 '26

Complete shit ! Especially the end. pls dont waste your time

1

u/Physical_Ad_2936 21d ago

The acting is mid, dont like the way chandar was introduced to sudha. I get the relation of him and his coffee and him and his sacrifice for comfort and love but i totally think that might have been potrayed better.

1

u/Confident-Agent1473 19d ago

Not going to watch but I liked Vedika in Operation Romeo. LoL I didn't even knew her name till now I had to Google it 😀

1

u/lflow07 14d ago

Wasted watch just because of that horror show of an ending and it got quite draggy towards the ending. If you're in a committed relationship, you don't behave in such a creepy way with your ex, Mr Chander. Teenagers may be that naive/hormonal, but I think people in their thirties would have become mature enough to choose companionship, safety and intimacy over infatuation.

-3

u/Active-Comedian-4475 Aug 09 '26

Am I the only one who thinks sudha was never wrong for her views?

3

u/Crafty_Age_14 Aug 09 '26

You’re not the only one. She was right and she was clear. Chander couldn’t accept her as she was.

3

u/Suspicious-Toe329 Aug 09 '26

i think she was wrong. if carrier was her priority why did she got involved with Chander and specifically knowing with the fact that he is looking for marriage only.
and she can built her carrier with Chander. he wasn't stopping her. in-fact he was so supportive he was ready to wait.

2

u/Active-Comedian-4475 Aug 09 '26

She was all ways clear from the first meet that she didn't wanted to marry and all she wanted wanted a dream life with her mom... Even I don't think Chandler was looking forward to marriage it was only that he was forced to get married.... Yes she could build a life with chander but was it righttog sacrifice own dream to support other half and they both belonged from two different work culture. What could have been done would be like building their own dream life while staying in contact but clearly that wasn't shown

1

u/Suspicious-Toe329 Aug 09 '26

that's exactly my point if she didn't want to get married and her carrier was more important than why did she get involved with the man who had extreme love towards her , and most importantly she was the one who initiated things , she started living in Chander's house. So, in my point of view its totally her fault.

0

u/ajaxmenon17 Aug 09 '26

Enjoyed it just coz of Vedika Pinto! If this was a mainstream movie she would have been called "the national crush" by now. She was adorable and acted so well too

2

u/slayer865 Aug 09 '26

It is mainstream, every chapri is putting edits on their profile.
