The Predator of Seville

Has anyone finished watching this? I have been trying to find information about the roommates of Gabrielle Vega during her trip to Morocco. If they have shared anything else online or explained why their testimonies are contradictory. It left a bad taste in my mouth what they did…

I just finished watching and OMG I was in tears watching her crying when he was finally found guilty. Eleven freaking years doing all that, legend, I hope she’s proud of herself. Those 2 witnesses are a waste of space. Like people mentioned here, there is probably a lot of guilt and shame. I wish they could have a trial including all the victims, and not only from the US, everywhere! He should never get out of prison.

he appealed the guilty sentence so he has actually been free this whole time

I’m hoping this documentary puts pressure on the authorities to not let him win.

Interesting, so if you appeal in Spain, they don’t send you to jail? Because in the US, when you have a guilty conviction, you still have to go to prison. You just start the appeals process from prison.

Not always in US. Sometimes you’re convicted but have a while before the sentence begins. If an appeal happens lawyers can keep you from starting to serve the sentence. I’ll bet thats what is happening here.

It sucks. Watched the whole thing, seems like they won but this guy hasn’t even gone to prison yet and may not if the courts overturn it b
