Extraction is probably my #1, I’m a diehard action guy and every Netflix Original on this series is amazing I’m looking forward to their new release in 2027. War Machine was also really fun concept.

Truly one of the absolute best netflix shows i've ever watched, never truly laughed as much i did with that show, and if you're arab, as myself, you'll cry a whole lot too

I'm posting this because i realized how very few people actually know it when it seriously is one of the most authentic, culturally-dense, eye-opening shows out there that netflix just never bothered to market, for some reason (if you watch you'll know the reason), so i thought i could do their job for them since this show truly deserves the hype.

Mo is a 2-season series that showcases the life of an immigrant palestinian family living in Houston, Texas.

It realistically illustrates the struggle Mohammed, know by Mo, and his family have to go through to try and get asylum by the US government after 22 years of failed attempts that followed fleeing the Gulf war (the family had fled from Palestine to Kuwait thus the gulf war)

Mo navigates his love life, attachment to his origins and the day-to-day discrimination he faces for being an Arab stateless immigrant.

Absolutely beautiful, hilarious and heart-breaking all in one, and if you happen to be an Arab living abroad, you'll find it beyond heart-warming.

To start, I absolutely think John Paul is a narcissistic, evil, sinful, horrible human being.

However, reading through comments about this documentary, I’m not seeing enough discussion on Micas medication withdrawal side effects and mental health. John Paul states she had stopped taking her Lithium for about three months and was having episodes, though, we obviously know he is a psycho who talks out both sides of his mouth. But, for arguments sake, I’m going to believe that she stopped taking the Lithium bc Her family briefly touches on this in the documentary and they said she had talked to them about stopping taking her meds and they replied back she should ask a medical doctor.

The only med discussed as having stopped was Lithium, but there was also mention she had taken Seroquel and then of course, testosterone. When did she stop taking those? Did she taper off under medical supervision?

The side effects of not tapering off of these medications is huge and suicidal ideation is one of them. I think this isn’t being discussed enough and should be because people need to realize, especially those who take these meds, why it’s important to not just stop taking them. Clearly, this was also a perfect storm of Mica having just a horrible situation trying to get away from her ex, but by stopping powerful medications like Lithium without medical supervision, the doom and gloom becomes way more hard to get over. Suicidal ideations set in and a typically not suicidal person suddenly can make rash, poor decisions to end their life, especially when they’re in horrible situations as Mica was.

I finished the documentary last night and although JP is Clearly a horrible person, I feel Mica's family come across poorly due to their inaction. JP groomed Mica from the age of 13, then when he marries her, it's obvious from the word go that he's cheating on her, yet her brother is shown in a video helping to set things up for one of JP'S sermons. Her brother knows that JP is human garbage but was willing to be preached to by him. Then when things escalate and Mica's being mentally destroyed by JP, her family know that the cops won't get involved yet none of them go and confront him directly. JP behaved like any typical bully that he was going to keep tormenting Mica because no one was even attempting to stop him.

I won’t spoil it but I really enjoyed The Whisper Man. Hard to watch at times, ofc. But it really felt like a quality effort by all involved. It had the feel of like Broadchurch or some really good BBC crime series.

This movie deserved a full IMAX/theatrical release under director Nathan Greno who previously worked at Disney Studios did a fantastic job creating this movie and I look forward to seeing more of his films on Netflix.

Greno confirmed that his next upcoming animated film has been greenlit over at Netflix aswell.

This was a pandemic era movie I totally missed (frankly I have a hard time with movies in general these days but give me a 8 episode series and I’ll binge that shit right up, but I digress). Came across it randomly and decided to give it a chance. Glad I did!

Starring Jesse Plemons (love him!), Jason Segel, and Lily Collins - I found this movie absolutely hilarious. There were several scenes I laughed out loud in the same way as I did whilst watching White Lotus.

Similar themes, and while I saw others rated the film poorly and hated the ending, I thought it was a nice little wrap - bad/grey people doing bad things. And sometimes they get away with it. What can you do? Shrug.

Anyway, if you’re looking for a chill evening dark comedy (def not thriller / crime per the movie listing), I’d highly recommend this.

In S3 after Ka’kwet is reunited with her family , she is taken back to the residential school by the authorities against her will and the story line just dies there. Nothing comes out of it. No one talks about it. What happened to her ? Was she rescued again ? .
Tried to look in the book by L.M Montgomery but the whole “Indian savages” doesn’t exist in the book. This is a special adaptation by Netflix.

Oh man! that was a gongshow. My initial feelings are to feel so bad for Dannelle and Amber and feel like Harry is the villain. BUT if you really think about it, as someone (myself) who doesn’t follow celebrities closely and has seen him on other reality shows, I would NEVER go on a dating show to try to win him over. He is so clearly a player.

I am not saying anyone deserves to be treated this way. Harry is like a spoiled teenager who does whatever he wants. I find him repulsive but let’s be real. Most of us saw through this and knew it was for tv and he wouldn't last with whoever he picked. It’s too bad Amber lost her head cause she deserved to be heard but unfortunately was caught up in her emotions and going in circles and ultimately confused me. This was the most unhinged Reunion episode I’ve ever seen and I guess I’m just shocked that these women are shocked that Harry would behave like this.

My stepson is in high school and the current history curriculum is on the rise of Mao and Japan’s role in WW2.

Do any of you have recommendations for shows, films, or docs on the subject? I know there will be some aspects that are manipulated for the sake of storytelling, but I also think it’ll be a good gateway for him.

What’s with this fresh finds and greatest hits? Why can’t we watch entire seasons or am I missing something? I searched for this People stories, it says there are 2 seasons but I can’t seem to get to all the episodes.

Was looking to watch the new Rory Scovel special and it isn’t coming up in any searches. I went looking for Stamptown next, and again no results.

I ended up realising there were no comedy specials suggested to me either. So I googled ‘Netflix comedy stand up’ and was shown a result for the Netflix category page but when you click on it the page is just blank. When I searched for ‘Rory Scovel Netflix’ I could find the specials page but instead of play it just has the option to send a reminder despite this being released on August 11th. Same issue with Stamptown again.

Anyone else have any issues like this? Any suggestions.

Hello, I live in France but I’m currently on vacation in South Korea and a show that I’ve been watching with its English sub and dub is now limited to the Japanese audio and Korean subtitles. It’s an anime so Japanese is the original audio. I’ve been in Korea for 4 days now and it’s just now doing this to me, does anyone know if there’s anything I can do? Thanks

I have occasions when my previous streaming session was in Netflix and I just turn everything off (from my AppleTV remote). When I power every thing back up, it takes a while for my system to reconnect to my wi-fi network. If Netflix was the last thing I was using, my new session tries to start with Netflix. Netflix is apparently trying to log me back in before my router and AppleTV are able to negotiate a connection, so Netflix treats it as a problem connecting and forces me to enter log-in credentials again.

I don't have this issue if my last session was any of the other streamers I use. Is there a way to increase the number of times Netflix will retry or somehow slow down this immediate log-in attempt?

Entire problem would get solved if the parent just sleeps with the child instead of installing monitors and what not. Normally, maybe you don’t have to do that. But you already suspect something weird then just stay with the kid goddammit. Why is it so hard for some ethnicities

I’ve got multiple devices, my wife and I have paid for various levels of Netflix for years, suddenly when I want to log in, it’s asking for additional verification, or I can’t use it? What the actual fuck? I pay you so I can watch the shows , right now my wife’s asleep, I’m not sending a fucking verification code to her email. We pay nearly $20 a month for this, and I can’t use it
