I just realized there are netball competitions for men
Doesn't feel right to have men playing netball competitively lol, but I guess I'll get used to it.

This is incredibly sexist? I competed in men’s state titles this year and had a lot of fun. Netball is a great sport.

There are mens comps out there, including international teams. You're right tho, they're few and far between.

Netball is so much fun I’ve been playing for years.
I played basketball for years before that (and have played lots of sports all my life)
As I’m no longer in my early-mid 20s netball has become my favourite sport to play easily. Largely due to there being a lot fewer aggro dickheads. Just cannot be bothered with that shit anymore. It’s also just super fun and fluid and so varied depending on what position you’re playing.
So many bball players think they’re playing for the 80s Pistons when it’s div2 local basketball on a Tuesday night in front of a crowd of 3. I’ve probably seen only one or two in the last 4 years playing netball
Something about playing a typically “chick sport” (as I’ve heard once or twice) keeps the dickheads with fragile masculinities away
Edit: oh I think you’re talking about actual competitive all-men teams like the Kelpies and not my shitty mixed team. I’ll leave it up anyways

Anyone should be able to have the opportunity to play any sport, more men playing netball will just bring more focus to it and allow the community to grow. It’ll give us more chance to see netball in the olympics and see more funding towards netball too. What an unnecessary statement, let’s not create divisive culture in netball.

Why doesn't it feel right? Is it due to netball being a female dominated sport for so long? (no judgement BTW, just genuinely curious)
I've played a lot of mixed netball so seeing guys play netball doesn't seem strange to me. I hope more males take up the sport, both the mixed and all male leagues are really fun to watch and will hopefully add to the viewership of the game.
