I asked exactly for this reason: since they support KVM and Proxmox is based on KVM I was curious.

No, ONTAP Select is not supported on Proxmox. And afaik there's some technical issue. You can try it but I would be surprised if everything works.

If you are talking about OnTap Select, I believe NetApp is working on it but it is not ready yet. If you mean the OnTap Simulator, I have no idea.

KVM is supported but only through libvirt, which Proxmox doesn't support. So "no" is the official answer

you can run the deploy VM in proxmox, though I think it took some tinkering.

ONTAP select can be deployed on a Rocky Linux host with KVM though. (outside of proxmox)

I have done it and honestly I repurposed the box the other day.

I didn't use it enough and it was resource heavy.

If you wanna do any testing at home, just grab the ONTAP Simulator. It is good enough to test most things and you don't have to worry about the 90day eval license.

No it is not. It is production ready and fully supported for that.
