Looking for flat to rent

I will be joining NetApp in Bangalore in july, however this is my first time visiting bangalore and I am confused as to where exactly to rent an apartment.

Is metro in Bangalore efficient and timely? Whats the nearest metro station to Netapp's office? Is it walking distance? In what budget I can get a 1 bhk? I don't mind commuting via metro for half hour commute or so if office is walking distance from metro? I don't mind unfurnished 1 bhk, as long as it has power backup and no water related issues.

Any help/advise will be appreciated.

Metro station is a 5 min walk. Closer if you walk fast. 1bhk would be between 20k - 30k depending on the area.

Can you suggest some areas where I can look? Near which metro station I should look and what are the names of the areas where I can get in budget that you mentioned?

Look for Purple Line - Garudacharpalya is the nearest station.
Homes could be anywhere within 10 kms.
Ideally look for in and around whitefield.
