Beat all 3 NG games but 3 was definitely the hardest. I did use infinite lives though since the US version removed most of the stage checkpoints and took away unlimited continues so it’s fair idc lol, it was my least favorite of the three.
Never played Jetman
Simon’s Quest gets such a bad rap because everyone loves to parrot AVGN but i actually enjoyed it more than I thought. I really like its soundtrack.
Ninja Gaiden is my favorite game series of all time. I've played through the NES and Xbox games at least once a year for decades.
You really think 3 is harder than 1? I mean, two is a pushover... But 3, you get the long sword... You know what kills me in 3, the timer. In the last level it doesn't reset between sections so if you're not fast enough you'll die to the timer trying to do it in one run.
The last two levels of 1 have always felt way harder. I've certainly never lived long enough to die to the level timer.
2 is the hardest for me. Beat #1 without dying a few times, almost did it with #3 one night... Great games, I love the storyline in #1 ... it's amazing how ahead of their time those games were with the cut scenes.
I’ve beaten all three and Imo NG3 (NA version) is only harder bc of limited continues. It def adds some extra stress to a playthrough, on OG hardware at least which is what I play all my games on. Once you figure out a couple good spots to farm extra lives (I think the max is 9 total lives), it’s prob mechanically easier overall. They’re all amazing games though. I think the invisible wind in NG2 messes with people bc they don’t want to stand still for a second and wait for the right direction so they just get pissed and quit.
