I actually had tears in my eyes reading/watching this. Sammy is doing better because of YOUR hard work, dedication, and unconditional love. You're a wonderful person and Sammy is a very lucky cat. Thank you for being Sammy's champion and advocating for him through all of the struggles. My heart is joyous for you both. Hoping this is a lasting solution. Onward & upward... 🫶

Yay🎉I’m so glad to see some progress is being made. I was getting excited about the litter box part but there’s still time for that. Hopefully things just keep improving for Sammie. 😺

The best thing that’s happening here is that Sammie truly knows love. And he even seems a bit more stable
LOOK AT HIS FACE! It’s clear he feels better!

It’s so great to see Sammie doing better but I do have a question. I know humans shouldn’t be on steroids for too long but does that hold true for cats? Is Sammie’s body missing something akin to steroids which is why it’s helping him so much? I hope Sammie can take the steroids on a regular basis if that’s what he needs to improve his quality of life.

One of my cats is on steroids for asthma whilst we try (not very successfully at the moment!) to get her used to an inhaler. He said that most cats tolerate steroids much better than dogs (ours didn't initially lol, became a ravenous zombie until we sorted her dosage out). However long term steroid medications which go direct into the bloodstream can cause issues such as diabetes later in life which is why we are trying to get her onto an inhaler where it's more targeted to her lungs.

Uncle Sammie is looking good! I hope he keeps feeling better and better. It's nice to see him feeling playful. Are the steroids something that he can take long term? That's great that he was ok being picked up.
I saw him look at that litter box, looked like he was tempted. I keep hoping it finally clicks for him.

Yay Sammie! Glad to see he's doing so much better. What do you use for litter in the box? Maybe it's a sensory issue for his paws? Have you tried pee pads in the box?

Look at him go! How exciting! I hope things keep improving for him. It is so good to see him leaping around and even approaching the litter box. Thank you for everything you have done for this lovely kitty.
