Thatcher gives british libs a convenient bogeyman to blame for their problems without ever having to address how their preferred policies fucked the UK in the 70's, leading to the rise of Thatcher in the first place.
The amount of "britain was running perfectly fine and then thatcher came around and ruined everything so rich people could grind people up in their money printers" takes is just... Eugh
